How to Select The Best Semi & Fully Automatic Cold Saw

Written by Dake Corp | Mar 6, 2020 10:57:14 PM

It is most important to utilize the proper semi or fully automatic cold saw for your application. You must strive for a model that will give optimum cutting performance and minimize set up and down time.

These automatic models are "load-it-and-leave-it" operation thus freeing up the operator. Follow the second part of our guide below to help determine which cold saw is the best fit for your application.

Dake 350 SA Semi-Automatic Pivot Head Cold Saw

Heavy Duty Continuous Cut-Off Requirements on a Daily Basis

The Dake 350 SA model is designed for production runs, better blade life, continuous surface finish and to eliminate operator fatigue that can happen with a manual cold saw. It is best for low to medium production of material 4" or less where the operator is present or in a cell environment.

The Dake 350 SA has semi-auto cycling that can be operated by a push button or a foot pedal. A head positioning system offers minimized dead air cutting and “dove tail” slide vise allowing positioning of the main clamping vise forward or rearward from center. The 350 SA will miter left and right up to 60° angles, has a 14” blade and variable speed control.

This is a very versatile saw that can expand as production needs grow by adding on an auto-feed system.

Dake Euromatic 370 S Ferrous Semi-Auto Vertical Column Saw

Extreme Heavy Duty Continuous Cut-Off Requirements on a Daily Basis

The Dake 370 S is a semi-automatic vertical column cold saw designed for cutting of larger, harder materials in a high production environment. It offers extreme rigidity for cutting thin wall tubing up to large diameter solids.

The vertical column with hardened ways and cast iron gib blocks means square clean cuts with minimal noise and effort. The 370 S has unlimited mitering capabilities (both left and right) with slot cut, cutting potential. A rear adjustable vise can tailor the machine to the application by altering the cut geometry.

**Interchangeable heads can be purchased for the ultimate cutting of non-ferrous materials.

This model saw is also available in a non-ferrous model: the Dake Euromatic 370 S/L Non-Ferrous Semi-Auto Vertical Column Saw

Dake Euromatic 370 PP Ferrous Fully-Automatic Vertical Column Saw

Extreme Duty Continuous 3 Shift Ferrous Cutting on a Daily Basis

The Dake Euromatic 370 PP is a fully-automatic vertical column cold saw for unattended cutting of larger harder materials in a high production environment. Bold enough to cut most anything 5” and under with the ability to miter cut of some of the most extreme angles.

The 370 PP offers extreme rigidity for cutting thin wall tubing all the way up to large diameter solids. The vertical column with hardened ways and cast iron gib blocks means you will receive square, clean cuts with minimal noise and effort. The 370 PP has unlimited mitering capabilities (both left and right) with slot cut, cutting potential. A rear adjustable vise can tailor the machine to the application by altering the cut geometry.

Coming standard on the 370 PP is blade protection for longer life and safer operation and a Digital Read Out length set. There is a maximum stroke of 20” that can be multiple stroked 99 times. A piece counter with auto shut off and out of stock shut off is also standard.

Full Plexiglas hood covers the entire cutting and feeder area with interlocks while a steel guard covers the blade for added operator safety.

**Interchangeable heads can be purchased for the ultimate cutting of non-ferrous materials.

This model saw is also available in a non-ferrous model: the Dake Euromatic 370 PP/L Non-Ferrous Fully-Automatic Vertical Column Saw
