You must strive for a model that will give optimum cutting performance and minimize operator fatigue.

Operator fatigue is most evident when cutting larger production runs, cutting of material with heavy cross sections or when miter cutting on a regular or continuous basis.

Dake Technics 250 Manual Pivot Head Cold Saw

Occasional Cut-Off Requirements on a Semi-Daily Basis

The Dake Technics 250 is intended for small volume cutting of low carbon steels, stainless steels and non-ferrous materials. It performs exceedingly well on most structurals and profiles within the stated capacity of the machine.

The machine uses a 10” High Speed Steel blade and cuts at 44 rpm. Miters up to 45° L-R  and is 120-volt single phase.

Dake Cut 315 Manual Pivot Head Cold Saw

General Cut-Off Requirements on a Daily Basis

The Cut 315 model is designed for low volume production applications on a daily basis, for low carbon steel, non-ferrous materials and stainless steels within the stated capacities.

If you are looking for a saw that is going to be used on a daily basis for cutting medium size materials and possibly frequent miter cuts the 315 suits the bill. This saw will do everything the Cut 250 can plus much more.

Available in single phase or 3 phase, you can expect the same high quality results with either model. The 3 phase version of the Cut 315 offers more economical operation with 2 blade speeds for many different types of materials.

Mitering capabilities are left and right from center to 45°. A vise with quick release lever for rapid vise action comes standard making easier work for the operator.

Dake Technics 350 CE Manual Pivot Head Cold Saw

Continuous Cut-Off Requirements on a Daily Basis

Dake 350 CE is the big Daddy of manual cold saws. This model is the best for running production on the heavier material and will miter at virtually any angle.

It is a brute that will last through many different operator techniques and the most abusive applications. Infinitely variable speed will give you the ultimate finish on your cuts. The 350CE model offers the ability to tune the rpm’s for optimum cutting on most materials.

This saw can do many things including slot cutting and, with a little practice, cutting of a pocket cut and “fish mouth” cut. This saw also offers outstanding performance on low carbon steels, stainless steels, and non-ferrous materials including plastics and thin wall tubing.

It's safe to say the Technics 350 CE is an extreme a work horse of manual cold saws.

Next time we will look choosing the right semi-automatic or fully automatic cold saw for your application. With 5+ different models there’s guaranteed to be one for you.
